Miramar High School EV Team

Community Outreach

The Electric Vehicle Competition team makes many public appearances throughout each school year. The goal of the team is to promote environmental awareness as well as EV engineering construction and design throughout our community. Oral presentations about our program have been presented to various schools and businesses throughout the Miramar area. Each year Electric Vehicle Competition Representatives attend several Miramar City Council sessions. Students also participate in various other functions to promote our program as well as to promote the city's involvement and support of our program.

The City of Miramar, Florida has been very actively involved in the advancement of our program. They are our major monetary contributor. We have received sizable monitory sponsorships from several branches of Miramar government. Funds have been procured from the Police departments, Fire Department as well as the Parks and recreation Department. The Parks and Recreation sponsorship allowed us to host the first ever Miramar High School Electric Vehicle Rally. The nearby city of Pembroke Pines Florida also stepped in granting us a license to hold our autocross on the premises of the Pembroke Lakes Mall.
